Pilates improves strength, increases flexibility and joint mobility as well as dramatically improving posture and relieving tension.

At The Practise you can choose from matwork and apparatus classes led by carefully selected Pilates teachers who have an eye for detail. We believe the true magic of Pilates happens when you are guided with a focus on technique and form, which is why we strictly limit our class sizes.

Equipment classes are limited to 6 and mat classes to 14.

Reformer

Reformers incorporate springs, pulleys and straps to increase support (making the exercises easier) or increase resistance (making them more challenging).

Limited to 6 people.

Matwork

Matwork pilates is foundational, powerful and deeply accessible. We offer matwork classes to suit all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen your pilates experience. Often using nothing but your body and the mat, you will improve your flexibility, strength and balance – as well as dramatically improving your posture.

Limited to 14 people.

Wunda Chair

We are proud to be the only studio in North Essex offering small group Wunda Chair classes. Designed by Joseph Pilates, the Wunda Chair offers resistance with less support than a reformer. On this powerful and versatile piece of equipment, expect a full body workout that elevates your Pilates practise. Perfect for you if you love reformer or mat and want to deepen your experience of the Pilates method.

About Reformer

Limited to 6 people.You have two types of group Reformer class to choose from:

Fundamental Reformer

The class you want if you are wondering where to start with Reformer. It is a slower based Reformer class to help mobilise, stretch and strengthen the entire body. Using the resistance of the Reformer you will elevate your flexibility, mobility and strength.

Uses all of the Pilates principles and the traditional exercises to create a mindful, balanced workout at a faster, flowing pace with more intermediate moves. Suitable for those with Reformer experience or who are already fit and active.
